In our database of victims, in accordance with the Hungarian custom of naming, the surname is recorded first, followed by the first/given name.

In the case of surnames, a search for the Hungarian variant of the name will yield results, e.g. Alexander instead of Sándor.

The effectiveness of your search is increased if, in the case of married women, you search for the person in more than one name variant. Possible variations:

• the husband's full name with the marriage suffix, e.g., Weiss Mórné,
• the husband's surname with the marriage suffix, followed by the full maiden name, e.g., Weissné Friedman Sára,
• the husband's surname with the marriage suffix, followed by the maiden first name, e.g., Weissné Sára,
• the husband's surname followed by the maiden surname, e.g., Weiss Sára,
• full maiden name, e.g., Friedman Sára,
